The Horse Logic Philosophy

Rider Instruction
Horse Logic teaches the rider with a systematic method called the riding tree. It is dubbed a tree because the rider must first learn the basic principles at the base of the tree. Once these principles are learned, the rider may "branch out" into any horse discipline he or she desires. The main principles of the riding tree are relaxation, balance, following the motion, application of the aids, coordination of the aids, and influencing the horse. Once these principles are learned, the rider can then properly communicate with the horse. When the rider can properly communicate, the horse can be correctly shaped (influenced). The advantage of this method is that one can utilize these techniques with any discipline. It is NOT discipline specific. So whether you are a beginner or have years of experience, Horse Logic can help you develop as a rider and improve communication with your horse.

Horse Training Method
The Horse Logic equine training method develops a communication between horse and rider that is very logical and natural to the horse. This communication increases the horse's willingness to perform for the rider, which is the key to training any horse in any discipline. Other methods will get similar results but typically the communication is much harsher and the relationship is based more on dominance than mutual respect. Horse Logic's gentle and patient communication develops a greater bond between horse and rider and makes for a more attentive and happier horse. The communication fundamentals come from the dressage training scale. This scale consists of levels which are arranged in a pyramid format, starting with rhythm at the base and collection at the top. Each of the levels are consistently built upon as the horse progresses so that the lower levels are continually refined as the next higher level is developed. Because of its roots in the dressage training scale, the Horse Logic method is very versatile and can be utilized to teach any type of discipline, not just dressage. Whether you want a simple trail horse, a dressage, western, jumping or reining horse, Horse Logic can train your horse, young or old, to be a more willing partner.
